                                      Dr. Katharina Schuhmann, Penn State University

Katharina Schuhmann is an Assistant Professor of German and Linguistics at Penn State University. Her research explores the underlying principles and
mechanisms of linguistic adaptation phenomena between both interlocutors and languages; she is also interested in how hearing a novel accent or learning to produce the sounds of a second language (temporarily) changes representations or processes in one or both languages.
